There are many different customizations of Magnums: A particular book detailing the history of Puch-Steyr, published in Austria, includes an image of a Euro-spec Magnum, indicating that Puch may have planned to release the model in Europe and later cancelled the plans around 1980. There is some conflicting information on whether a limited run was sold in Europe. Many factory accessories for Magnums were originally sold (5-star rims, Mofast exhausts, Zeta big bore kits, and headlight fairings) and are still quite desirable for the increased stability and mod-ability with the numerous after-market parts available today. The Puch Magnum is arguably the most sought after vintage moped. It was said only 500 were sold, but rumors say possibly 500 were released on each coast. The 5 stars have a red stripe on the sides, and the tank has a commemorative decal.

The MKII from '78-'79 was silver with green stripes and decals and had snowflake mag wheels, the two speed ZA50 motor, and is fitted with oil injection.Front forks and rear shocks were spring loaded and not all that great. It was red (rumor has it there may have been blue also) and had spoke wheels and an E50 motor.
